The application
of yeast has commonly prevailed amongst the mankind and benefited it through
its widespread utility in the domains like fermentation, brewing, and other processes
relevant to a number of industrial segments since many ages. However, yeast has
become useful lately in terms of its alternative sources of nutrition as well
in the modern times.
The food supplements made from it contains high amount of
proteins, enzymes and vitamins which is beneficial for the healthy growth of
animals fed upon such a diet. Apart from that, the manifold usefulness of yeast
also lies in the health food industry as part of food additives, conditioners
and flavoring agents in a number processed edible items for the consumption of
mankind.

which demonstrates its usefulness is the undeniable significance of feed grade
yeast for the creation of microbiological means, by-products and the
manufacturing of livestock feed. With the advent and growth of scientific research,
the modern development of yeast has gained numerous manifestations meeting the
industrial and commercial demands of processed food products. Apart from the
food grade yeast, some other commonly known and applicable categories of yeast which
we are benefiting from include single cell proteins, baker’s yeast, whey
protein, distiller’s yeast, and brewer’s yeast etc.
